Sweetgrass First Nation: “Honouring Our Children-in-Care Ceremony”

Sweetgrass First Nation in Saskatchewan invites all caregivers of any Sweetgrass First Nation children-in-care to join them at the “Honouring Our Children in Care Ceremony” on Tuesday, July 18 at 3pm at the Nation’s Powwow Grounds (west of Battleford).
The week starts with Treaty Day 2023 on Monday, July 17 followed by the Annual Traditional Powwow on July 18-19 with host drums Blackstone and the Sweetgrass Singers. Specials include Golden Age, Men’s & Women’s, Teens, Juniors and Tots.
Camping, showers and firewood is available on site for all Sweetgrass First Nations members, caregivers and children in care, with daily pipe ceremony giveaways, land-based learning opportunities, and more.
