Our Children Our Way Announces New Executive Director

(Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw Territory). The Our Children Our Way Society is pleased to announce the appointment of Joan Conlon as its new Executive Director, effective April 14, 2025.
Joan currently serves as the Director of Child Safety at Carrier Sekani Family Services (CSFS), located on the traditional territory of the Lheidli T’enneh. She is a proud member of Tsay Keh Dene Nation and is also Métis with deep roots in Duck Lake and the Red River. Joan brings extensive experience in both front-line and leadership roles in child & family services.
Joan’s work is deeply rooted in culture and guided by a commitment to keeping children, families, and communities at the center of child and family well-being efforts. She looks forward to working with Indigenous Nations and Indigenous Child & Family Service Agencies to uphold the wellbeing of children, families and communities.
