National Children’s Chiefs Commission Launches Regional Engagements: Video & Presentation

The National Children’s Chiefs Commission (NCCC), in collaboration with the First Nations Child & Family Caring Society, launched regional engagements today to gather input from First Nations leaders, experts, and Rights Holders on a national plan to end Canada’s discrimination in First Nations Child & Family Services.

The webinar provided an overview of the CHRT’s August 20 decision and an outline of the upcoming regional engagements.

Dr. Cindy Blackstock, Executive Director, First Nations Child & Family Caring Society, Chief Pauline Frost, Chair, National Children’s Chiefs Commission, and Liam Smith, Legal Counsel, National Children’s Chiefs Commission hosted the “Our Children, Our Future” webinar and explained how leadership, experts, and Rights Holders can participate in shaping the national plan.
