Join us for the 2nd annual Loving Justice: Supporting Each Other conference being held in Sâskwatôn (Saskatoon), on the traditional territory of the Treaty Six First Nations, from September 8-11, 2025. With the theme of “Supporting Each Other”, the national conference offers an opportunity to exchange experiences, highlight achievements, empower our kin and explore strategies in Indigenous child and family jurisdiction.

This conference will create a platform for First Nations, and Indigenous organizations to share and mobilize both modern and traditional knowledge in response to the evolving landscape of Indigenous child and family jurisdiction.

Registration Terms & Conditions:

1.    Early-bird Rate for event.

2.    Refunds will be made on cancellations on or before July 31, 2025. Refunds are paid in full, less a $100 administrative fee.

3.    No refunds will be issued after August 1, 2025.

4.    Prepaid registrants who are unable to attend the conference may send another person in their place if registration is transferred by August 29, 2025.

We invite presentation proposals for the Loving Justice: Wīciwikamātowin ~ Supporting Each Other conference that contribute to the development of Indigenous governance and law-making in child and family well-being. This gathering is a space to share experiences, highlight achievements, empower our kin, and discuss strategies that strengthen Indigenous child and family jurisdiction.

We welcome diverse voices, including Indigenous leadership, service providers, legal experts, community advocates, and those actively engaged in strengthening Indigenous governance. Let’s come together to share our knowledge, deepen our relationships, and breathe life into our own laws.

Proposals should align with at least one of the following conference themes:

  • Pathways to Jurisdiction: Legal and Governance Frameworks
  • Funding and Sustainability: Ensuring Long-term Success
  • Upholding and Enacting Indigenous Law
  • Intergovernmental and Community Collaboration
