Honouring Spring with Prayer for the continued support and unity for First Nations children and families
March 21st, 2026
Please join us for a cross-country collective prayer for continued support and unity for First Nations children and families in honour of the Spring Equinox.
March 21st marks the first day of the Spring season across Turtle Island and the Northern Hemisphere, welcoming the rebirth of many of Mother Earth’s plants and greenery.
In honour of the beginning of Spring, we ask that you pray for our children and families as the work to end Canada’s discrimination in the First Nations Child and Family Services sector continues.
For more background information on the work at the Canadian Human Rights Tribunal on protecting children and families, please see: https://fncaringsociety.com/i-am-witness/chrt-orders
This Spring our prayers and offerings are to:
Honour the sacred, especially the new babies coming into this world
Honour our Mother Earth
Honour our Knowledge Holders, our Elders.
Honour all we share Mother Earth with:
• the Four-leggeds
• the two-leggeds,
• the Winged-ones,
• the Swimmers
• the Crawlers,
• And the Plant and Rock People
• and those Unseen and Unheard
Prayers we all walk in balance, harmony and beauty.
