Honouring Lisa Post: Transformative Leadership in Support of Indigenous Children, Youth, and Families – Scw’exmx Child and Family Services Society

(Sḵwx̱wú7mesesh Úxwumixw (Squamish Nation)Territory, August 29, 2025). The Indigenous Child and Family Services Directors Board, alongside the Our Children Our Way Secretariat, wishes to extend its deepest gratitude and appreciation to Lisa Post, who is stepping down from her role as Executive Director of Scw’exmx Child and Family Services Society (SCFSS) after nearly six years of remarkable service and leadership.

Lisa brought forward a practice rooted in Indigenous values, leading with humility, wisdom, and courage. As Lisa prepares to begin an exciting new chapter, we pause to honour her incredible impact on the lives of all she has served and will continue to serve.

“On behalf of the Board of Directors and the communities we serve, I offer heartfelt appreciation to Lisa for her dedication and years of tireless service,” said Mary Teegee, Chair of the ICFSD Our Children Our Way Society. “Lisa brought wisdom, strength, and integrity to her work. Her leadership has been a beacon of hope and change in the lives of Indigenous children and youth. We are grateful for her time with us and wish her only the best in her journey ahead.”

Joni Conlon, Executive Director of Our Children Our Way, added: “Lisa’s passion and steadfast commitment to Indigenous children, youth, and families has always been at the heart of her practice. She has been a valued and respected voice at both the Our Children Our Way Director’s Table and Partnership Table. Mussi Cho Lisa — we wish you well, knowing that wherever you go, your heart will always be rooted in the care and protection of our children.”
