Our Children Our Way: A Forum for Indigenous Child & Family Well-Being

National Conference

Registration is now closed

There is no capacity for any additional participants. Only those registered will be admitted to the conference to ensure the safety and comfort of all participants.

The Indigenous Child & Family Services Directors invite you to the Our Children Our Way November 21-23, 2022 at the Vancouver Convention Centre, Vancouver, BC.

Inviting representatives from Indigenous communities and organizations across Canada to showcase best practices, share operational policies and practices, discuss prevention services, community development approaches, and pathways to child welfare jurisdiction.

We are on a precipice of historic change in Indigenous child welfare in Canada. Federal enabling legislation provides our Nations with the legal framework to enact our Indigenous laws. Successive Canadian Human Rights Tribunal orders and the Agreement-in-Principle on Long-Term reform have established a funding approach that gives First Nations and Indigenous Child & Family Service Agencies the capacity to provide cultural and strength-based services to strengthen our children, our way.

This National Conference will provide a platform for learning, innovation and knowledge exchange.

Register for the conference and engage in uplifting the spirits of practitioners, networking and learning from fellow participants from across the country in promoting and strengthening the identity of children, youth, and families everywhere.
